Optibase Ltd. announced that leading broadband solution provider,
Industria, has chosen to further extend its IP video head-end with Optibase's IPTV streaming platforms for its Irish triple-play customer,
Magnet Networks.
The video headend will enable delivery of triple-play services (digital telephony, high-speed internet and IPTV) broadcast through a true broadband network to gated communities in the Dublin area, Ireland.
"We have successfully launched our broadband initiative providing advanced services to our residential customers," says Industria CEO, Gudjon Mar Gudjonsson. "Our decision to increase the number of channels provided to our customers was followed by a natural selection to continue our productive relationship with Optibase, and we look forward to keeping up the good work we have accomplished together."
"We are proud to receive Industria's vote of confidence in our IPTV solutions, and are working closely with the company to help maximize its customers' satisfaction." says Uzi Breier, Optibase's CEO.
Industria is deploying the Optibase platform to power Magnet Networks' interactive digital television services to Magnet Networks customers in Ireland. Initially, the service is being broadcast over the Magnet Networks fiber network using MPEG2 compression, with plans to offer a range of new pioneering on-demand services later this year to Irish domestic and business customers. The total system integration of the IPTV, billing and subscriber management platform is being managed by Industria as the primary contractor.
