"For us it is another great success to have gained CBS Paramount International Television for cooperation in the Video on Demand sector", says Burkhard Grassmann, Chief Media Officer at T-Online. "Just about every moviegoer in the world associates the trademark snow-capped mountain - appearing in the trailer of our new partner´s cinema productions - with first-class entertainment. And I am certain that such films as "Clear & Present Danger", "Forrest Gump" and "Ghost" will be very well received by our customers".
CBS Paramount International Television President Armando Nunez commented, "We are committed to continuing to find and explore new ways to be able to offer consumers our product. By partnering with T-Online, we believe that we are strengthening this commitment to technology and the ever expanding options".
Since late 2003, T-Online customers with a broadband T-DSL connection are able to view cinema films as videostreams. With media receivers such as the Activy Media Center by Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the Samsung SMT-7020S, or the Zenega 101 CI selected by Bose, the Video on Demand range (as well as additional services) can be viewed on the TV set.
"The productions of the US studios continue to account for the clear majority of cinema hits in Germany", says Peter Kerckhoff, Senior Vice President Content Sourcing & Cooperation at T-Online. "Accordingly, our range will become still more attractive thanks to the Paramount films, and I am confident that we will gain many new customers for our Video on Demand service".
