TVN Entertainment, the leading provider of on demand television programming, management and delivery solutions, and
Music Choice, the pioneering, multi-platform music network, today announced that they have signed a Preferred Provider agreement for VOD services including encoding, distribution and asset management. This agreement also allows Music Choice to take advantage of TVNow, a rapid turn around service offered exclusively by TVN Entertainment.
Through TVNow, Music Choice will have the ability to offer music videos, and additional music-related video content, including in-studio performances and interviews, and concert footage, as it becomes available.
Leading cable-providers such as Comcast have already signed on for Music Choice's unique video content, which appeals heavily to the targeted 14 - 25 demographic.
"We are extremely pleased to be working with Music Choice, not only because of the scope of the agreement, but because it allows us to introduce a younger audience to the VOD experience, kids and teenagers, who will hopefully choose VOD for their long-term use," said Matt Cohen, TVN Entertainment VP of Business Development. "Music Choice also offers unique and compelling music-related content which is an asset to our wide variety of VOD offerings."
"TVN's platform has provided Music Choice the flexibility to work within the particular requirements of music industry schedules, as well as those of our label partners and artists," said Rick Bergan, VP Distribution, Music Choice. "TVN's ADONISS management tools and TVNow service enable us to distribute a huge number of files flexibly, securely, quickly and accurately. With this success, we can foresee future VOD initiatives in the pipeline."
