Entone Technologies, a leading provider of personal video content delivery solutions, will showcase its video on-demand (VOD) solutions for creating, managing, and delivering digital assets at IBC, Amsterdam, 9th – 13th September. At multiple locations throughout Hall 1 in the Content Delivery Zone, Entone will feature its StreamLiner
TM network video recorder (NVR) and Armada
TM intelligent asset manager solutions.
"We understand that no single vendor can deliver all components required of a world-class IPTV service," says Steve McKay, CEO of Entone Technologies. "We are pleased to partner with several of the world's leading IPTV solution providers, all of whom we have integrated with in field-proven deployments. For example, the end-to-end solution on the Latens stand mirrors the system that has been deployed at Lyse Tele in Norway."
On the Latens stand (no. 1:455) will be a complete, end-to-end VOD system comprised of an Entone VOD server solution integrated with a TANDBERG Television iTTV delivery platform and Kreatel set top boxes. The whole system is protected by Latens next-generation Conditional Access (CA) solution. The on-stand setup will showcase a centralized VOD server system, comprised of Entone's StreamLiner VOD server software with distributed sites managed by Entone's Armada.
Entone's StreamLiner NVR solution will also be a feature on the Widevine stand (no. 1:510) and TANDBERG Television stand (no. 1:461) where it will be providing the VOD server technology to power TANDBERG Television's on-demand demonstration. Visitors to the Hewlett Packard stand (no. 1:228) will be able to see Entone's Armada running on a high-performance HP Integrity server.
Mark Rooney, EMEA Director of Entone Technologies, adds: "We are experiencing a tremendous interest in our open standards-based VOD solutions and see clear signs that 2005/6 will see VOD take off in Europe as IPTV operators deploy VOD as a key service differentiator and revenue generator. One of our major strengths is that our open systems approach means that our customers can choose cost-efficient COTS server technology while still benefiting from our industry-leading performance metrics. This means that we can uniquely provide powerful and cost-effective VOD systems for all operators, whatever their size and business models. In addition, because we are highly scalable, our system can expand as an operator becomes increasingly successful."
