Video Without Boundaries, Inc., a leading provider of interactive, media-convergent home entertainment devices, announced it will be demonstrating the full line of MediaREADY
TM broadband media devices at CEDIA Expo 2005 in Indianapolis. CEDIA Expo 2005 marks the first time Video Without Boundaries (VWB) will be exposing its line of digital media centers, which combine Internet, cable, network-based home entertainment, and other media choices, to the home theater and home networking contractor/dealer community.
CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association) Expo is America's premier tradeshow for residential custom electronic systems contractors. The show, to be held September 7-11 at the Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome in Indianapolis, attracts nearly 25,000 attendees each year including distributors, dealers, system designers, installers, and other professionals in the custom home theater and home networking field.
At CEDIA Expo 2005, VWB will be demonstrating the MediaREADY 5000 and MediaREADY 4000 Digital Media Centers, two groundbreaking broadband devices for use with home TVs. The DVD-sized units combine MPEG 1, 2, and 4/DVD/CD/MP3 recording and playback via local or networked hard drives along with Internet browsing, email, streaming video/audio, karaoke, media jukebox and more. The MediaREADY 5000 also offers a PVR and Electronic Program Guide.
Also being showcased is the MediaREADY Flyboy, an ultraslim portable MPEG-4 player and recorder that also includes MP3 and digital picture functions. The MediaREADY line has received strong consumer and mass retail acceptance since their debut earlier this year, making the extension to smaller specialty electronics retailers a natural progression.
"Our distribution with Tier 1 and Tier 2 retailers is giving the MediaREADY line a growing level of consumer awareness," said David Novak, Executive VP/Sales & Marketing for Video Without Boundaries. "Like some of the best brands in the consumer electronics field, we believe this awareness will translate into a preference among homeowners who choose to work with custom system installers."
VWB's MediaREADY line creates the interest, value proposition, and "wow" factor that audio- and videophiles and other early adopters in the field of home entertainment look for. The line is helping reshape the digital entertainment landscape by delivering uniquely simple, affordable, practical, and easily understood solutions to real-world home entertainment needs.
VWB will be demonstrating the MediaREADY 4000 and 5000 at its exhibit via live hookups that provide a first-hand look at the units' remarkable capabilities. Attendees will be able to navigate all features of the devices, ask questions, and place orders for immediate shipment. Video Without Boundaries will also be meeting with several large distributors at the show, each of which represents thousands of resellers and integrators across the country.
