Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) today released the complete agenda and speaker roster for the new "IPTV Summit", debuting next month at their INTERNET TELEPHONY Conference & EXPO in Los Angeles.
The conference will be held October 24-27 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles, CA. "IPTV Summit" takes place Tuesday, October 25th.
Increasingly, IPTV is being bundled with other services delivered over broadband networks, such as voice and high-speed data. Often, enhanced services like video-on-demand are offered as part of the package.
While delivering IPTV to subscribers presents an exciting growth opportunity, it also comes with unique challenges to service providers rolling out IPTV service. From core network elements through edge/aggregation devices and video head-ends all the way through to set-top boxes, service providers need the right infrastructure to offer customers the quality they expect.
TMC president and conference chairman Rich Tehrani says the promise of IPTV does not come without a price for service providers seeking to cash in on a new revenue stream.
"Service providers face the challenge of driving new IPTV revenue, while controlling operating expenses and managing bandwidth on their networks. We created this IPTV Summit at IT EXPO to help service providers examine the implications of deploying advanced TV services and value-added applications like messaging and gaming," explained Tehrani.
Registration for the conference and expo is now open. Anyone interested may register by visiting
