Canby Telephone commissioned
Tut Systems's Astria content processors to deliver advanced IPTV services, known as Canby Digital Television, to customers in Canby, Oregon.
With its video launch, Canby Telephone re-enters the broadcast TV market for the first time since selling its cable operations to Willamette Broadband in 2001. Tut Systems' carrier class Astria CP platform serves as the core video processing system for Canby's digital headend. To meet Canby's aggressive market rollout plans, Tut Systems provided comprehensive systems integration services including project management, design, staging, installation, pre-launch testing, and on-site training working in close coordination with Canby personnel.
"Our vendor evaluation process focused on finding a partner with the right mix of technology assets, product quality, and world-class support infrastructure," said Keith Galitz, President of Canby Telephone. "Tut Systems emerged as the clear choice for us during the selection phase and proved itself time and time again as we progressed from initial planning to final deployment."
"We are proud to be a part of Canby Telephone's successful launch of video over DSL services," said Sal D'Auria, Chairman, President and CEO of Tut Systems. "Adding IPTV services to their existing portfolio of products, will help Canby successfully compete head-to-head with alternative service providers in their local market. We look forward to a long and successful relationship together."
