100Mbps IP Retrofit Solution, TVnet/C Pro, Now Available Nationwide
Coaxsys, leaders in IPTV and multimedia networking, and Digital Delivery
Group (DDG), a national consortium of CE specialty distributors, have reached an agreement to distribute TVnet/C Pro.
TVnet/C Pro is a 100Mbps Ethernet-over-Coax solution that enables custom integrators to use a home's existing coaxial cable
to simultaneously distribute cable television (CATV), provide IP video distribution, and enable high-speed IP multimedia
networking.
The announcement marks the first high-speed Ethernet-over-Coax solution to target custom installers and systems
integrators. While TVnet solutions are already deployed by more than fifty Telcos, cable operators, and service providers,
TVnet/C Pro is the first CATV-compatible high-speed home networking solution available to the public through the CI
channel. DDG, with member sales companies and warehouses strategically located throughout the US, will provide national
distribution coverage for this revolutionary solution.
David Kaplan, Director of the Digital Delivery Group, said "We are extremely excited about being selected to distribute
TVnet/C Pro, one of the most powerful and practical home networking products available. Installers will now be able to
retrofit homes or extend existing networks without having to rewire with Cat-5 Ethernet. Using existing coax will create
opportunities for new and in many cases previously impractical projects."
Matt Bossory, National Sales Manager at Coaxsys, said "We are enthusiastic about TVnet/C Pro's introduction to the custom
integrator market, and we believe that DDG is an exceptional partner for us. Their national reach, commitment to training,
and market guidance are what makes DDG a top-notch distribution partner, and we are excited about moving forward with
them."
TVnet/C Pro is a high-speed 100Mbps IP networking adapter specifically designed to enable custom integrators to use
existing coax for both CATV and connecting any Ethernet device. TVnet/C Pro functions over RG-6 or RG-59 coax, works
through splitters, and operates in any coax topology, including home-runs or daisy chains. The high-bandwidth network
makes it possible for installers to send multiple video streams throughout a network, as well as connect any number of
Ethernet devices, including home theater components, media servers, DVRs, IP security cameras, video game consoles, and any
other Ethernet device. TVnet/C Pro does not disrupt CATV signals and is compatible with both SD and HD video.
The two companies noted that TVnet/C Pro adapters are available now.
