Stream announced an agreement to provide technical support for the Slingbox, a popular new consumer electronics product from Sling Media, Inc. The Slingbox allows the user to watch a live television feed from their home-based cable box, satellite receiver, or digital video recorder on an Internet-connected PC anywhere in the world.
The Slingbox received universal praise upon its release, capturing a number of industry awards and accolades, while landing Sling Media on Fortune Magazine's 25 Breakout Companies of 2005 list.
"Sling Media not only has one of the most exciting new consumer products on the market, they are also committed to excellent customer service," said Toni Portmann, Stream president and CEO. "The fact that our companies share so many of the same values makes this a pivotal new relationship."
Stream prides itself on delivering exceptional customer experiences through high-quality technical support and customer service. The company's client roster, which is decidedly focused on the high-tech sector, continues to grow along with Stream's reputation for quality and service delivery.
Sling Media is the latest addition to Stream's global client base, which already includes the world's largest Internet service providers, software providers, hardware manufacturers, and consumer electronics companies.
"Sling Media is committed to providing our customers with the best level of technical and customer support and we rely on partners like Stream to help us achieve this goal," said Blake Krikorians, co-founder and CEO of Sling Media. "We've been impressed with Stream's ability to understand our product, and, more importantly, understand the needs of our customers as their satisfaction is paramount to our success as a company."
Stream's agreement with Sling Media continues a period of strong growth for the contact center veteran. Over the past several months, Stream has forged new partnerships with a number of high profile clients while continuing growth with its existing base of more than 90 clients in 23 sites worldwide.
The company's recent growth includes sites in two new markets. In June, Stream opened a 600-seat contact center in the Dominican Republic. Stream opened another new facility in September in Poland. Other worldwide locations include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Tunisia, United Kingdom, and the United States, among others.
