Streaming21, Inc., a leader in broadcast-quality media streaming solutions, today announced the new appointment of Henry Chen as the vice president of professional services. In his new role, Chen will be in charge of Streaming21's professional services (PS) and project management (PM) teams in all regions. His primary focus is to drive Streaming21's strategic direction of global professional services, lead a team of highly skillful professionals to deliver unique IPTV offerings for Telco and broadband service providers, and further strengthen Streaming21's leadership position in worldwide IPTV service deployment.
Chen is a proven executive with substantial expertise in high-tech environments in the U.S. and Asia Pacific. He has over 20 years of technical and business development experiences in high-growth technology companies -- from start-up to Fortune 500. He also has a solid history of leading highly productive teams to build and maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction on large-scale service delivery.

Prior to joining Streaming21, Henry Chen held several senior executive consulting roles in the high-tech industry, focusing on North Asia development. Such experience included Intergrafx Inc., where he led a strong development team for mobile 3D content and applications, and lined up many strategic partners in China to create recurring-revenue strategies targeting the mass market of mobile phone users in China.
Chen was also the Vice President of Technology at Chinadotcom Corporation, where he led many successful projects in the area of E-Commerce and Wireless projects and Search-related services projects.
Chen also held a senior position at Netscape, where he co-founded the Netscape California consulting group, and accomplished numerous E-Commerce projects for Netscape's high-profile customers such as Disney On-line, LA Times, Sony Music and Motorola, as well as numerous overseas projects with critical Asia-Pacific customers, such as Hong Kong Telecom, Peoples Daily News Beijing, News Interactive Australia, and Telecom New Zealand. He was also the senior technical consultant for TRW, completing many critical projects for the U.S. Government and TRW-internal research projects.
Chen received his Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, USA and Bachelor of Science in Math/Computer Science from UCLA, USA.
