TV Worldwide.com, Inc., a fast-growing web-based global TV network, today announced that it will webcast the 7th Annual "Capital Cyber Bowl" to benefit the Touchdown Club Charities of Washington D.C. This unique event has attracted widespread sponsorship and national interest while highlighting a local rivalry that exists between tech executives and their brick and mortar counterparts in the web-savvy Northern Virginia business community.
"A lot of these guys have met every Sunday during the season for the last 22 years to live out past football fantasies and network. They're always excited to play in this tech vs. brick and mortar format and as always, the sponsors have responded to help us benefit Touchdown Club Charities of Washington," commented Dave Gardy, Chairman of TVWorldwide.com. "The Web Warriors have won in 2000 and 2002 and 2005, the Brick and Mortars won in 2001, 2003 and 2004. This year is the rubber match."
"We're going to avenge last year's game when they were able to throw a wrench in our gears. . . this year we'll send those Internet tech-geeks running back to their data centers," remarked Bricks and Mortar tight end Mike D'Amato, a shipyard engineer. "The tech sector may be improving, but on Super Bowl Sunday, Brick and Mortar reality will rule once again."
"The whole Brick and Mortar game plan looks like it's been corrupted by a virus and we intend to exploit the anomaly, render their protection scan useless and penetrate their defenses," stated Microsoft's Steve Lough, Web Warrior quarterback. "I think their play execution algorithm has bugs in it."
Event sponsors include Base Technologies, BVB Advertising, Washington Business Journal, Progressive Radiology, Dulles National Financial Services, Virginia Commerce Bank, Studley Commercial Real Estate, JB Builders, Ltd. of the Bahamas, Bisnow on Business, TV Worldwide, Sales Training TV and radio's nationally-syndicated David Lawrence Show.
"We're excited about this 7th Annual Cyberbowl," said Gary Nakamoto, President of the Touchdown Club of Washington. "It's good to see players on both teams engaged in this gridiron battle to help Touchdown Club Charities. We want to thank the event sponsors for supporting this webcast to benefit and promote Touchdown Club efforts."
Capital Cyber Bowl coverage begins at 11:30 AM ET on Sunday, February 5 at www.tvworldwide.com. Participants should have the free Windows Media Player installed and should log on prior to the event to test the free video stream.
