MultiChannel Ventures announces the launch of REAL ESTATE CHANNEL and HOME IMPROVEMENT CHANNEL video-on-demand IPTV broadband networks for the Fall of 2006.
The
REAL ESTATE CHANNEL and
HOME IMPROVEMENT CHANNEL are two emerging IP-based broadcasting networks for the delivery of customized video-on-demand real estate and home improvement television programming and content to any person on any Internet enabled device, anywhere in the world, anytime.
MultiChannel Ventures' two new networks will enable global online audiences the ability to search and view video content on demand by various subject categories or by geographic relevance. Video content will include two major category types; traditional television programming and industry created video content from various real estate or home improvement service providers or retailers.
Michael Gerrity, Chairman of MultiChannel Ventures, commented, "With the explosive growth of broadband over the last three years, the ability to stream high-quality full-screen video content to consumers with Internet Protocol Television or IPTV is now becoming a reality. Because of this development, we are now building and deploying both the REAL ESTATE CHANNEL(TM) and HOME IMPROVEMENT CHANNEL(TM) video networks in the fall of 2006 to embrace this new enabling distribution technology and trend. Think of us as launching two fully interactive video cable networks over the web for the entire U.S. real estate and home improvement marketplace."
According to PricewaterhouseCoopers' recent IP Transformation Report, IP-based video broadcasting could prove, over the next 5 years, to be a much more disruptive enabling technology and business model for today's current video distribution industry than VoIP has now become for telecom's wireline voice business. PWC further predicts that IP-TV subscriber growth will grow from 1.3M in 2006 to over 38M subscribers by 2010. Therefore, both the REAL ESTATE CHANNEL(TM) and HOME IMPROVEMENT CHANNEL(TM) will be perfectly positioned to ride this growing tidal wave of IP-based video distribution.
