Conax invites you to attend the online seminar on 6 April. Gain a world perspective to decisions made about emerging systems in the digital broadcast space. Take the Conax tour to some of our clients in 60 countries worldwide.
The tour highlights innovations both in terms of security and revenue.
First stop is the community of Spitzbergen, the northernmost populated place in the world, where Conax supports Telenor in delivering CA services to the Telenor VDSL operation. Although Spitzbergen is a small community, this is an important operation as Spitzbergen is used as a test bed for technology that will be provided at Norwegian mainland.
Second stop is MTV in Germany. Jointly implemented with TechniSat, Conax offers content protection for the MTV channel package for the German satellite market (via Astra). From September last year, specialist outlets and regional markets have sold so called 'MTV unlimited cards', which can activate access by use of a TechniSat smartcard. The integrated Conax technology permits the buyer of the prepaid cards to obtain convenient access via SMS, telephone or the Internet.
Third stop is ZAP TV, a Chilean operator of digital television. ZAP TV is the exclusive Canal del Fútbol (exclusive Chilean Football Channel) and is owned by the Chilean Football Association that launched its TV operation back in 2003 with the help of Conax AS. Together with Telephonica they are offering triple play services in Chile.
