THREE DAY ETA CONFERENCE PROGRAM TO ADDRESS TECHNOLOGY & ENTERTAINMENT ISSUES
Starz’s Bob Greene & ClickStar’s James Ackerman Deliver Keynotes The 5th annual Entertainment Technology Alliance (ETA), collocating at C3, will host an exhibit pavilion that includes Whiteblox, NDS, and Saytam and a comprehensive conference program addressing entertainment and technology issues and trends.

C3 take place June 27-29, 2006 in New York City at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
ETA’s three day conference program will focus on technology and entertainment issues including digital asset management, mobile entertainment, digital media solutions, mobile technology and gaming, interactive television and IP TV and digital home entertainment. Speakers will include industry leaders from Jupiter Research, Motorola, A&E Television Networks, Scripps Networks Interactive, Scientific-Atlanta, a Cisco Company, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Playboy Enterprises. “ETA’s participation at C3 expands the shows focus to encompass a market for the buying and selling of entertainment technologies,” said Mark Dineen, vice president and show director for C3. “They’ve assembled a solid conference program that addresses the shifting landscape of digital entertainment.”
“ETA is proud to be a part of C3 once again,” said Todd Brockman, Chairman of ETA. “This year marks our 5th year anniversary, and so much has changed in the entertainment and technology space. The good news is that we’ve only scratched the surface and there will be so much more to come over the next five years.”
Bob Greene, senior vice president of Advanced Services, Starz Entertainment Group, will deliver the ETA keynote on Tuesday, June 27th at 1:30 p.m. In his address “The New Wave of Video-on-the-Go” Greene will give attendees an overview of market opportunities and business challenges for the emerging downloadable video on the go market. He will cover business and distribution models, DRM and content ownership issues, and will provide a vision of what consumers can expect in the future.
And on Wednesday, June 28 at 11:30 a.m. ClickStar’s CEO James Ackerman will deliver his keynote: It's a Control Thing - Content May be King, but it is the Consumer who Calls the Shots on When, Where and How that Content is to be Enjoyed. Ackerman will discuss how content owners are now offering consumers alternative ways to consume their favorite programming and the impact this change in consumer behavior is having on the business models of the entertainment industry.
