Eagle Broadband, Inc., a national provider of broadband, Internet protocol (IP) and communications technology and services, will have one of its signature products -- the MediaPro IP5000HD set-top box -- showcased at Computex Taipei 2006, the 26th Taipei International Information Technology Show taking place June 6-10 in Taipei, Taiwan.

The MediaPro IP5000HD set-top box delivers high-definition television signals over an IP interface and has proven to be a popular device for delivering IPTV within the hospitality industry. When coupled with Eagle's IPTVComplete™ for IP aggregator condominium markets, it provides direct access to more than 200 channels of high-demand programming from popular entertainment providers.

IPoX Technology Co., Ltd., will showcase Eagle's MediaPro IP5000HD set-top box in the IPoX suite to the thousands of people who will be in attendance at Computex Taipei 2006.

"Computex Taipei is one of the two largest IT events in the world," said Dave Micek, Eagle Broadband's president and chief executive officer. "This is an excellent opportunity for Eagle to globally expand awareness of our MediaPro IP5000HD set-top box and build a larger international customer base."

A five-day event, Computex Taipei features the broadest range of IT products and components. The event, which will be held at the Taipei World Trade Center and the Taipei International Convention Center, will draw more than 30,000 global buyers and 100,000 local visitors.
