A wide selection of programming from the respected Al Arabiya television news channel is now available through the new
Tvext Desktop TV service from Broadband Television Network Corp.
Tvext Desktop TV software is free to download and Tvext programming is available both free and for-charge, with most fee content offered for less than a penny per minute. Video downloads can be viewed immediately or saved for later viewing. Tvext is currently offering hours of programming for free as a special introductory offer.
Tvext is the first Internet TV service to offer programs from Dubai-based Al Arabiya, the 24-hour news channel from Middle East Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), which in a few short years has earned an international reputation for credible and balanced coverage. Al Arabiya programs are generally available via Tvext within one business day of the original Mid-East broadcast.
Program include “Across the Ocean,” a discussion of the impact of American policy on the Arab world; “Bilarabi,” a live talk show hosted by Giselle Khoury; “Fourth Estate,” a discussion of news media and the impact on Arab interests; “From Iraq,” exploring daily life in Iraq, hosted by Elie Nakkouzi and Najwa Kassem; “Ida’at,” covering issues affecting the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the quest for unity; “Mahattat,” a review of social, cultural and economic trends; “Point of Order,” a live, socio-political talk show with often-controversial guests; “Rawafed,” featuring views and ideas of Arab artists and thinkers; and “Special Mission,” an investigative look at political, economic and religious issues.
