Vintage sporting moments channel ESPN Classic is heading to Spain following a deal with telecoms outfit Telefonica's IPTV platform Imagenio.

ESPN Classic, which will be available on a 24/7 basis, will feature a mix of documentaries, profiles, movies, interviews and highlights, in addition to general sport entertainment programming.

Highlights for the summer launch period include a profile of footballer Diego Maradone; interviews with World Cup stars, past and present, such as Sir Bobby Charlton and Owen Hargreaves; and a Swedish Tennis Special, featuring memorable matches by players such as Stefan Edberg and Bjorn Borg.
