Amino STBs, enterprises, banks, and retailers have a simple, plug-and-play solution for enabling live or on-demand corporate video access from branch locations. The solution powers applications such as distributed e-learning, corporate communication, and associate training.
Amino is an emerging leader in set-top boxes used by service providers. Enterprises that use OmniCast for distributing content from the corporate data center can now use Amino STBs as effective branch video access or storage unit. As simple auto-configuring devices, Amino STBs can easily connect to existing in-store display devices or branch office televisions and do not require a complex installation process. Users can simply power up the unit and be ready to go.
From the data center, enterprises can use OmniCast's point-and-click portal interface to schedule video distribution jobs. With features such as site-specific bandwidth controls and timed job activation, companies can deliver videos to branches overnight, thereby saving network bandwidth costs and eliminating congestion during operating hours.
OmniCast support for Amino STBs is available October 30, 2006.
