mPhase Technologies and
Accedo have formed an alliance to offer games with the mPhase TV+ System middleware. The companies will market the game packages to broadband operators as a pre-configured solution for interactive IPTV services.
The new Accedo Games packages will provide operators with a range of revenue-generating and differentiating games for the mPhase TV+ System.
"IPTV providers want to serve a range of customers – games are an excellent way for providers to deliver new entertainment options with IPTV," noted Phil Thompson, executive vice president-product management for mPhase. "The Accedo games with our TV+ System will give network service providers the option of offering a range of popular casual game concepts to their customers."
"We are excited about working with mPhase in bringing casual games into the mPhase TV+ System," says Michael Lantz, CEO Accedo Broadband. "The Accedo Application Portfolio already contains the largest available portfolio of casual IPTV games, and we will work together with mPhase to add the IPTV gaming experience as an integrated part of mPhase TV+ System."
The mPhase TV+ System uses a unique approach to organizing entertainment assets like games and channels so that they be flexibly mixed and matched to the level desired by the consumer—thus maximizing the revenue possible from the network.
