Beginning today, PR tech blogger, Alan Weinkrantz, is making daily posts at his blog,
http://www.3screens.net, documenting his experience and comments in having HD (High Definition) broadcast television service from AT&T (NYSE:T) being installed and deployed at his home in San Antonio, Texas.
Weinkrantz was an early trial user of the AT&T U-verse service offering and began documenting his experiences and observations starting in May of this year when he was one of the first users of the U-verse IPTV service offering.
Weinkrantz has written extensively not only about his experience in being an AT&T trial user, but has made suggestions and commentary about AT&T's strategy. Most recently, he spoke at the TelcoTV Conference in Dallas where he addressed his experiences and observations about being a U-verse customer.
The schedule of subject matter to be covered starting today include:
Monday, December 11 – A review and insights of the AT&T U-verse service to date
Tuesday, December 12 – Installation and deployment
Wednesday, December 13 – Watching IPTV in HD Part I
Thursday, December 14 – Watching IPTV in HD Part II
Friday, December 15 – Conclusions and remarks
Weinkrantz currently has 3 TVs (2 HD and 1 plane-Jane analog) running on the AT&T system and operates a totally wireless home, with the help of Apple AirPort devices. Even the stereo system can be controlled from Weinkrantz's Apple MacBook Pro so he can listen to his iTunes-based music or favorite Internet radio stations.
