Hera 3200f was designed following customer's dissatisfaction of the performance, scalability, and complex licensing structures of available software file transcoding solutions in the market today. To satisfy these needs, Media Excel developed in-house embedded software and DSP hardware components, resulting in a highly scalable system that provides multi-codec broadcast-level video quality, an order of magnitude performance improvement, simplified pricing structure, plus unmatched flexibility to meet individual customer needs.
James Meeker, Director of Sales, commented, "Media Excel's hardware solution delivers up to 10x real-time file transcoding speeds for various video and audio formats required by our customers, providing a much lower Total Cost of Ownership compared with software systems on general purpose servers. The net result is a low cost, scalable, remotely manageable and high performance solution."

"HERA 3200f is the most robust, cost-effective solution, that can satisfy the needs of traditional broadcasters worldwide plus the new requirements for Mobile TV, Web TV and IPTV," said Thanasis Iatrou, CEO of Media Excel.
