This week executives from
Amino will be providing demonstrations of the AmiNET range of IPTV STBs at the TelcoTV Conference & Expo in Atlanta, at Booth #437. On November 20th, executives will be attending the Chile Media Show in Santiago, where Amino will lead an IPTV Workshop.
Launched in July, Telsur’s “WiTV” IPTV service is being offered on its broadband network between the southern Chilean cities of Concepción and Puerto Montt. Telsur has invested heavily in upgrading and expanding its broadband network.
Currently, with the AmiNET110, Telsur offers 100 channels of standard definition digital television via IP with an electronic program guide, parental control options and video on demand capabilities. The company has installed connected home IPTV services in volume with an average of two STBs per home.
The AmiNET110 STB is based on Amino’s award-winning compact design and is compatible with the MPEG-2 video compression standard, the most common format for digital IPTV content today. The unit features an Ethernet input and flexible audio/video output with a USB interface for game controllers and other devices.
