Orca Interactive announces plans to expand into the Asia Pacific market. As part of this strategic expansion, Orca will initiate business development activities across the region during the third quarter of 2008, which will be supported by Viaccess’ existing presence. Setting off the current move, Orca’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr. Ofer Weintraub, will speak about the latest developments in IPTV, including Web 2.0 services and IPTV convergence, at the CommunicAsia conference, taking place between June 17-20, 2008 in Singapore.
Through this expansion, Orca will be bringing the benefits of its innovative solutions to operators across APAC, providing them with the most cutting-edge tools to differentiate themselves in competitive markets with tailored, system integrator-enabled solutions designed to meet their specific needs.
In addition to its proven RiGHTv middleware, Orca’s product offering for Asia Pacific will include the company’s groundbreaking content discovery platform, COMPASS, which the company will be displaying in Viaccess booth # 3B4-01 (Hall 3) at CommunicAsia 2008.
Also scheduled for CommunicAsia, Orca Interactive CTO Dr. Ofer Weintraub will speak about the challenges and potential of integrating Web 2.0 services with IPTV in a presentation titled: “A Clash of Civilizations: Do You Really Want Web 2.0 on Your IPTV?,” at 2:00pm on Friday, June 20, 2008.
