Netmax.tv to enable secure distribution of targeted, geo-specific programming to a worldwide audience of Hollywood / Bollywood / Worldwide content enthusiasts. By deploying Widevine's security platform Netmax.tv will securely reach Windows, Mac and Linux users running a wide array of Web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Opera, and IPTV set top box users.
Netmax.tv's vision is to securely distribute its vast library of licensed content to any geo-authorized consumers with connected personal computing devices. Netmax.tv selected Widevine to ensure secure multiplatform distribution, while meeting the content protection standards of Hollywood & Bollywood content studios.
Netmax.tv will launch with a library of over 30,000 titles and expects to double that volume by the end of 2009. In the future, Netmax.tv will extend service delivery to traditional set top boxes and popular consumer devices as part of its in-home entertainment strategy. Widevine currently provides content protection to over 130 managed network operators worldwide, running more than 50 different models of set top boxes, personal video recorders, portable media players and PCs.
