The
HomePNA Alliance announced that it will join leading equipment and service providers at the 2008 FTTH Conference and Expo being held at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee on September 21-25. HomePNA will participate in the Home Networking Zone, a conference highlight providing interactive exhibits, product displays and service demonstrations enabled by a fiber to the home connection.
“With four of the five largest North American Telcos that offer IPTV using HomePNA to provide the service, FTTH provides a great opportunity for service providers to see a live demonstration of HomePNA being used to distribute actual high-speed commercial IPTV service, delivered to the home over FTTH, to set-top boxes over existing coaxial cables,” noted Richard Nesin, HomePNA president. “We are excited to be part of this year’s Home Networking Zone.”
Rich Nesin will also be speaking on the features, benefits and practical aspects of the widely deployed home networking standard on Monday, Sept. 22 between 3:30 and 4:00 PM at the Fiber Powered Pavilion located in booth 521.
The 2008 FTTH Conference and Expo is the place to learn about FTTH deployment, its economic impact, and the technology needed to make it happen. The Home Networking Zone, sponsored by the FTTH Council and AT&T, is located in Booth 1021 in the Ryman Exhibition Hall.
