Husky Media launched its latest version, Husky 2.0: a faster, easier and completely restructured version of the Husky Media technology.
Husky 2.0’s new features include:
- Husky Help Mode – Husky’s most ambitious new feature is “Help Mode,” which alerts publishers when there is an error on their page, displaying a message containing the solution.
- Husky In-Page – The Husky “In-Page” allows publishers to show Husky ads inside their pages, as opposed to inside a light-box. This new layout presents publishers with the least-intrusive advertisements possible.
- Husky Fixed Window – Husky has added a “Fixed Window” mode, which is similar to the light-box except for two things: the screen behind the ads is no longer grayed so users can still see what else is on the page, and Husky ads can now stay in the same spot, allowing users to scroll down and see other content further down the page.
- Husky Auto-Detect – This new feature will automatically find all of the YouTube and Heavy players on a webpage and Husky-enable them, keeping publishers from having to modify their embed code. Husky will be adding support for other types of players in the near future.
- New Title Bar above Husky Ads – The small “close” button on Husky has been modified into a title bar (which looks like this: http://www.huskymedia.com/advertiser/husky-in-action). This allows Husky to display a small logo on the upper-left corner, displaying an instructional message when a user rolls their mouse over it.
- Auto-Launching Husky is Faster Than Ever – Husky has accelerated its auto-launch feature, increasing the speed at which Husky ads automatically appear upon a user’s entry to the site and immediately engaging them in the Husky experience.
- Husky Game Mode – Husky has created multiple features geared towards gaming sites, the first of which being a “fence.” This creates an invisible and un-clickable area around the flash game when it’s surrounded by Husky ads, in order to prevent accidental clicks on the ads. Publishers have the option of enabling the fence and controlling its size. The second “Game Mode” feature gives publishers the option to have Husky ads open in a new window, underneath the current browser, whenever a user clicks an ad. This prevents games from interruption when an ad is clicked. Instead of immediately blocking the screen or the game, the ad will show up behind the browser.
