Move Networks has expanded its international presence through a partnership with
SevenOne Intermedia, the multimedia company of ProSiebenSat.1. As a result of this agreement, Germany’s largest broadcaster will adopt the Move Networks Internet television platform for online video content management and publishing across its popular Web portal
www.prosieben.de.
Additional online portals of ProSiebenSat.1 such as
www.sat1.de,
www.ran.de and
www.kabeleins.de will follow. With this partnership, Move Networks adds to a global portfolio of customers that includes ABC, Fox, Televisa, Sky News, Channel Bee and more.
According to numbers recently released by comScore, ProSiebenSat.1 Networld has the second most watched online video site in Germany, with 62,827 videos viewed in December 2008 alone. In addition, 77.1 percent of the total German Internet audience viewed online video and the total German online video viewing audience watched a combined 233 million hours of video content during that same month.
SevenOne Intermedia partnered with Move Networks to stream its TV lineup as well as to deliver additional web-specific content in an intuitive TV-like interface that makes it easy for viewers to search and navigate shows. The network’s TV shows are available immediately following the TV airing and remain available for unlimited streams for seven days at www.ProSieben.tv.
Move Networks’ adaptive streaming provides a skip-free high-definition television-like viewing experience that does not interrupt with buffering and poor audio or video quality. Additionally, Move Networks remains the only provider of Internet television services capable of delivering high-definition Internet television to any Internet connected device – from Netbooks & laptops to mobile, set-tops and gaming consoles.
