Deutsche Telekom is expanding the range of programs available via its IPTV service Entertain: The first series of the international hit series "Torchwood" is now available in the TV archive for all Entertain customers at no extra cost. Every episode is available in high definition.
"Torchwood" is about an authority of the same name, responsible for monitoring alien activity on Earth. Three series have been produced so far and have been very successful in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Hong Kong. The British-produced hit series recorded the highest ratings on BBC America last summer and a fourth series already being is planned.
The online video library Videoload also includes many other international hit series such as "Lost", "Scrubs" and "Desperate Housewives" that can be called up from € 0.99 per episode. Entertain customers can book all available series with the series subscription for € 9.99 per month. Various other packages are available with programs for the whole family from € 2.95 per month.
The latest episodes of the hit US series "Grey’s Anatomy", "Desperate Housewives", "Private Practice" have been available from the online video library since October, and "Lost" will be added from January 2010 shortly after airing in the United States for the first time, all for € 2.49 per episode. All episodes are available with the original English soundtrack and German subtitles, and can also be viewed in high definition.
