Harmonic will showcase its high performance solutions for broadcast video delivery and converged multi-screen services at four industry tradeshows around the world in March. The company will kick off the series with Satellite 2010 taking place March 16-18 in National Harbor, Maryland, followed by a trio of exhibitions March 23-25: CCBN in Beijing, Convergence India in New Delhi, and IPTV World Forum in London.
Key demonstrations at all of the exhibitions will include:
- Harmonic's contribution and distribution solutions, including low-latency Ellipse encoders and ProView HD/SD MPEG-2/MPEG-4 AVC (H.264) integrated receiver/decoders
- The market-leading Electra 8000 multi-channel, multi-format HD/SD compression platform
- The MediaPrism Convergence Suite, the industry's most comprehensive suite of tools for real-time and offline content ingest, transformation, distribution and delivery to the TV, PC and mobile devices
At Satellite 2010 in booth 1340, Harmonic will highlight its contribution, distribution and headend solutions including low-latency newsgathering, high quality HD powered by the Electra 8000, broadcast convergence for multi-screen viewing and ground-breaking ACE™ any-to-any transcoding technology for broadcast services.
In addition to the demonstrations at Satellite 2010, David Price, Vice President of Business Development and Marketing Communications at Harmonic, will moderate the "MPEG-4 versus MPEG-2: Choosing the Standard That's Right for You" session on Tuesday, March 16 at 3:00 pm and will speak on the topic of "Advanced Satellite Coding and Modulation: A CAPEX-for-OPEX Balancing Act" on Wednesday, March 17 at 3:15 pm.
At the CCBN (China Content Broadcasting Network) exhibition in booth 2404, Harmonic will demonstrate a full range of solutions, including low-latency contribution encoding and reception, HD and SD video compression, multiplexing, and converged video delivery. Harmonic's cable edge and access solutions including the market-leading NSG 9000 edgeQAM and a range of HFC access systems will also be on display.
At Convergence India in booth C110, key demonstrations will include Harmonic's industry-leading contribution/distribution and digital headend solutions, video-on-demand, Rhozet offline transcoding and multi-screen video delivery.
At IPTV World Forum in booth 85, Harmonic's convergence suite for TV, PC, over-the-top and mobile video will be on display, alongside Harmonic's Rhozet universal transcoding and a hybrid IP headend powered by Electra, ProStream and ProView products.
In addition to the demonstrations at IPTV World Forum, Thierry Fautier, Senior Director of Convergence Solutions at Harmonic, will speak at the "Leadership Insight: The Realities of Mobile TV" session on Wednesday, March 24th at 11:40 am.
