The last few years have seen a revolution in the development and delivery of broadcast content. The advent of smartphones and innovations in other consumer devices, combined with the emergence of IP-based distribution technologies have transformed viewers from passive receptors to active selectors of globally distributed content.
This year, for the first time, the Connected World at IBC2010 will showcase the new technologies driving this revolution under one roof in Hall 9. Specific feature areas within the Connected World will include the Mobile, IPTV and Digital Signage Zones, the Connected World Hub and the Connected Home of the future.
The Connected World will feature many of the most exciting technologies currently impacting the broadcast industry, including set-top boxes, hybrid TVs, LCDs, netbooks, games consoles, tablets, media players, mobile phones and other consumer devices, and provide exhibitors with the opportunity to connect with IBC's 45,000+ visitors at the heart of the broadcast industry's leading event.
The Connected World at IBC2010, which runs from the 10th - 14th September 2010 at the RAI, Amsterdam, is being jointly developed and marketed by IBC, IT Europa and BPL Broadcast Ltd.
