Amino secures a contract to provide the Lenox Municipal Utilities communications system with a range of PVR set-top boxes to support the rollout of IPTV services.
Lenox Municipal Utilities provides power, water, and broadband to their community in Iowa. Initially, the company will deploy Amino’s A530 PVR set-top boxes to support a rollout of new IPTV-based entertainment services.
The A530 offers both standard and high definition performance plus a personal video recording function that allows pause, rewind, and a range of trickplay services.
Lenox Municipal Utilities was founded in 1913 as a water provider for the City of Lenox. They later added power and communications services to the services that they provide for the citizens of the city.
CANBY TELCOM SELECTS AMINO FOR IPTV ROLLOUT
Amino secures a contract with Oregon-based Canby Telcom to provide a range of high definition IPTV set-top boxes.
Following a competitive pitch, Canby Telcom selected Amino to partner in the continued rollout of entertainment services to its 7,000-strong customer base and 9,000 access lines. Initially, the company will deploy Amino’s A130 and A530 PVR set-top boxes with a planned migration to next generation A140/A540 devices in the next 12 months.
Amino’s new A140 and A540 PVR set-top boxes are based on the latest STi7105 System on Chip solutions and are now available in the US market.
Founded in 1904 as the Macksburg Mutual Telephone Association, becoming the Canby Telephone Association, dba Canby Telcom two years later, Canby Telcom now serves over 7,000 customers across 84 square miles of Oregon.
