Objective Systems Integrators announce its release of the industry’s first packaged IPTV Customer Assurance solution to assure service quality across the entire breadth of the video delivery chain, from the headend, aggregation, transport, and access networks, through to the customer premises. With Neon Customer Assurance for IPTV, service providers now have real-time information to validate quality of experience and determine root cause of service-impacting events.
Neon for IPTV provides realtime information portals for Customer Care, SOC, and NOC teams to quickly determine if a particular problem is at the customer premises, view the QoS for each TV channel, and navigate to a service-affecting root cause and its propagated effect. These web portals offer support staff more effective interactions with each other and with customers.
Pre-defined, packaged models deliver the KPIs, KQIs, and correlations necessary to ensure high-quality video services. For example, by correlating indicators in headend and VHO resources, Neon provides visibility to the quality of key TV channels and third-party applications. Comparing quality and performance indicators from the network with probe data, users can tune network KPIs for optimal video transport. The strength of the Neon solution is reflected in reduced time to implement, minimized customer-call duration, fewer truck rolls, and optimized repair processes.
To filter through the noise and get to the heart of the problem, Neon uses a top-down approach to data collection and analysis. “Because Neon is vendor-neutral, it offers a unique view of the data necessary to ensure high-quality video services,” said Randy Custeau, OSI Senior VP Sales and Marketing. “Most probes and EMSs offer hundreds or thousands of measurements. We focus on correlating the ones that bring meaning to service quality and ultimately, customer experience.”
OSI’s Neon Customer Assurance for IPTV solution is available now.
