Verimatrix will be sharing its broader vision of the vital role revenue security will play as pay-TV operators upgrade their networks to add expanded services at NAB 2011. On the heels of its acquisition of the German DVB conditional access company, Comvenient, the combined team will discuss how offering a multi-network, multi-device security architecture can help position network operators for the next phase of their growth. Specifically, the company will discuss a full range of multi-screen strategies that can accommodate the addition of various types of IP-based service delivery while managing a single content authority platform.

In addition, Steve Oetegenn, chief sales and marketing officer, will be joining a Broadband Pit panel organized by The World Teleport Association and Society of Satellite Professionals International on "Revenge of the Cord-Cutters" Mon, April 11 at 4:00 p.m. in room SU10502. He will share his perspective on how traditional digital TV operators can respond to the disruptive force of over-the-top video services in the market. Jimmy Schaeffler of The Carmel Group will be moderating the panel.
CTO Petr Peterka will be co-presenting a session on "Tapping into the Blu-ray Potential" with Herve Utheza, president, RCDb on Wed., April 13 at 3:30 p.m. in room S228. During the session, which is part of the Broadcast Engineering Conference track, Peterka and Utheza will share how operators can take advantage of the growing connected Blu-ray population and how they can enable a seamless and secure OTT and managed TV platform. Verimatrix will also be hosting demonstrations that highlight its dramatically expanded multi-network, multi-screen partner ecosystem, including:
- DVB Networks: VCAS for DVB will be featured as the integrated security component for the joint B2B Satellite Video Distribution solution with Harmonic for the distribution of broadcast content to operators and affiliates.
- Hybrid Networks: VCAS for IPTV will be featured with an advanced CI+ CAM design in partnership with SMiT. Verimatrix will also feature its custom hybrid platform developed in conjunction with TelstraClear and Digisoft.tv that utilizes VCAS for DVB Hybrid to secure revenue over an advanced hybrid network.
- OTT and Mobile Video: VCAS for Internet TV has been integrated with an Entone Janus set-top box with Minerva Networks xTVFusion 5.0, and Harmonic's Prostream 4000 adaptive streaming product. Verimatrix will also demonstrate VCAS - secured HTTP Live Streaming content via the Envivio 4Caster C42 delivered to iPads, iPhones, Android tablets, and PCs. The ViewRight Web security client will be featured in an integrated AwoX Connected TV module. Additional joint OTT demonstrations can be seen throughout the show floor with partners including Inlet, MediaExcel, RealNetworks, RGB Networks, and Wowza.
