Anevia announces that it will participate in World IPv6 Day. World IPv6 Day, June 8, is the first 24-hour global-scale trial of the new Internet Protocol conducted by the Internet Society. Anevia will actively participate by making its
website, available through IPv6.
Anevia also announced that its hardware and software products for IPTV, over-the-top TV, and Video-on-Demand are IPv6 compliant. Anevia has upgraded and tested its ViaLive, ViaMotion and Flamingo products so that its customers benefit from the improved efficiency and new features of IPv6 while ensuring a smooth transition from IPv4.
Anevia first deployed an end-to-end IPv6 IPTV solution in 2003. It has since deployed its technology for both IPv6 and hybrid IPv4/IPv6 networks.
"IPv6 will contribute to the continual growth of OTT and IP video services through managed networks, mobile networks, and over the Internet," said Lionel Bringuier, Anevia CTO. "Anevia is working with its customers to build exciting new video services based on IPv6."
