BesTV is providing connected VOD services over the Internet with the help of software based transcoders from ATEME. BesTV has already deployed over 50 of ATEME’s Kyrion File Encoders for IPTV services over its dedicated network, and is now using them for connected TV as well, with plans to install more as demand increases.

BesTV’s workflow exploits the flexibility of the KFE, with its ability to support multiple formats and bitrates so as to cover both IPTV with its guaranteed performance, and the much more demanding Connected TV over the Internet.

BeeSmart released a new distribution of BeeSmart Lite 2.0. The distribution package is available online absolutely free of charge.

In this period the industry celebrates the first birthday of BeeSmart LITE, a distribution which helped numerous service operators start the service quickly, with minimal financial risks. Clarence Telephone Company has chosen Innovative Systems as their new IPTV Middleware provider. Located in eastern Iowa, Clarence Telephone Company provides High Speed Internet, Wireless, Telephone and Video services to Clarence Iowa.

The decision to choose Innovative was based on their reputation and commitment to the rural Telco market, according to Curtis Eldred, GM. "We had already purchased an APMAX and really liked the prospect of working with the same vendor who provides us with enhanced voice services." Dreampark announces that Serverado AB has selected Dreampark Dreamgallery Middleware to replace its previous middleware solution. This announcement showcases Dreampark's position as the IPTV middleware provider of choice in Europe, while strengthening the growth of the company.

The WDR has installed a remote controlled camera in a weatherproof housing on a high-rise building on the eastern side of the Rhine river in Köln Deutz - opposite of the Cologne Cathedral. The camera can be directed at the cathedral city and the Rhine river depending on the production requirements and provides the live panorama image of the city of Cologne.

Dreampark has provided a front-end middleware solution to Maxisat, Finland. Maxisat is the first operator in Finland offering TV and OTT services using a scalable vector graphics client allowing for high-definition user interfaces. The front-end solution delivered by Dreampark is based on the Dreamgallery Next Generation TV experience.
