Dreampark and Accedo Broadband announced a new partnership today to further strengthen the appeal and opportunities with the Dreamgallery IPTV middleware. The new partnership will provide operators with a wide range of revenue-generating and differentiating interactive services that are already customized and pre-integrated into the Dreampark middleware solution.

The Accedo Application Portfolio includes value added services such as Karaoke on Demand, casual games, quizzes, puzzles, VideoArt, horoscope and comics, as well as mail and chat services made exclusively for IPTV.

Two Way TV has bolstered its relationship with Turner Broadcasting by extending its provision of enhanced TV games and services on Virgin cable for Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Toonami and Cartoon Network Too. The children's broadcaster intends to expand the reach of these games to compatible IPTV networks across Europe.

Zodiac Interactive announced the general availability of TVLocalSearch, an application that allows consumers to use the TV and search for local businesses without interrupting the viewing experience. Like its online counterpart, TVLocalSearch is free for consumers and integrates with Zodiac's TVCallME service, which allows viewers to be instantly connected to the local business by telephone with a click of the remote.

Zodiac makes this possible through its PowerUp and INSTA Frameworks that give iTV operators the ability to offer media center-type experiences monetized through paid search.

Interactive production company Two Way TV has struck a deal with ITV that will see the company launching a range of red button services around ITV's programming. Two Way TV has been running red button services behind The X Factor and I'm A Celebrity Get Me… Out Of Here! for the broadcaster and the new deal will see many more of ITV's interactive services - already enjoyed by satellite subscribers - becoming available on UK cable.

CodeBaby, a global leader in interactive virtual agent solutions, and Accedo Broadband, a leading aggregator of TV-centric interactive applications, today announced a partner agreement that will see Accedo Broadband marketing CodeBaby's on-device Interactive Customer Care solution to IPTV operators globally.

Interactive Television Networks, Inc. (ITVN) has selected ViewCast Corporation’s Osprey Video capture cards to stream on-demand Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) content to its subscribers. ITVN’s interactive content networks deploy Osprey cards to ingest, preprocess, and stream programmed content for their subscription-based channels – Setanta, LacrosseTV and MavTV.

TANDBERG Television announced an expansion of television interactivity into Canada through a deal with TSN, the leading Canadian sports television channel. In collaboration with TANDBERG Television, TSN will launch a new web-based synchronized interactive television application to engage viewers in the competition on screen and enhance TSN's programming of the Canadian Football League this season. Sponsored by Molson, Inc., Canada's largest brewing company, the new interactive application launches today on TSN.ca.

DaimlerChrysler rolled out what is believed to be the first interactive advertisement featured on the IPTV network Now TV based in Hong Kong. The 45-second advertisement for Daimler's luxury Maybach brand asks viewers to press a button on the remote for more information on the auto. The viewer is then taken to a multi-page informational site with customer service information and contact details for a Hong Kong dealer.

Chinese company Sun Media Investment Holdings Limited ("Sun Media") and European company LUXE.TV announced a partnership to create an interactive platform that will enable viewers to purchase luxury goods directly over the internet. The joint venture, provisionally called "LUXE.TV Interactive" will capitalize on the interactive technology developed by Sun Media and the access to LUXE.TV concept and program library to develop the first IPTV shopping channel of luxury goods in China. This IPTV channel is expected to be launched in the Chinese market in the latter half of 2006, with the objective to extend thereafter the business model globally. The joint-venture will also distribute LUXE.TV programs to broadcasters and other media companies in China.
