BT Vision Adds Content Deals
BT
announced content agreements with HBO and Universal Music Group this week for their IPTV service, BT Vision. The agreement with HBO will provide BT Vision viewers with a range of HBO's programming, including series, mini-series, documentaries and comedy specials not shown in the UK before. The agreement with Universal Music Group will enable video-on-demand music videos on BT Vision and also on Windows-compatible listening devices via the BT Vision download store.
HBO
BT Vision customers will be able to choose whether they wish to pay for shows individually or as part of a monthly subscription package. The programming line-up will be available from May and will be updated on a weekly basis. Over time the library will build to include, on demand, all episodes of series such as The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Entourage and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
In addition, BT Vision viewers will be able to see mini-series such as Band of Brothers, Angels in America, and From the Earth to the Moon; documentaries Autopsy and Taxicab Confessions and comedy specials such as Ellen DeGeneres: The Beginning and Chris Rock: Never Scared.
