Astounding Results of First "Mobile Film Festival"

Mobile Event
today announce the astounding results of the first "Mobile Film Festival" held in Paris for which they jointly delivered the mobile internet services. The official selection of competing films has been available for free download from Gallery, the French mobile internet portal managed and available on all three mobile operators, providing a mobile search engine, site listings and online billing capabilities to brands and content providers.
For its first edition, the Mobile Film Festival had over 84 short films specially made to be viewed on mobile phones entering to compete for the awards. These quirky, funny and creative films have been judged and voted on by the general public, before the final deliberations of a Jury which was made up of mobile industry professionals. There were five prizes awarded for the best film, best script, best original idea, public price, and Jury special price.
"The 1st edition has been an impressive success, especially on the mobile internet site where we reached 1500 downloads per day without any massive promotion of the wap site. We had more visitors using mobile phones than using the web site and almost 150,000 wap pages were viewed in 15 days!" commented Bruno Smadja of Mobile Event. "The reason we partnered with Netsize was because of their content management platform, mSuites, and their unrivalled technical expertise in delivering mobile internet solutions" He went on to add that, "Netsize is also a certified Gallery partner recommended by Orange for enabling rich media content which was an asset."
Netsize's offer is based on mSuites, the mobile multimedia service management platform in which Netsize has been used by global brands to deliver rich mobile media services for the last three years. mSuites is particularly suitable for setting up complex mobile Internet sites (WAP and i-mode) that combine a range of modules: information, exchange (forums), downloads (images, music, videos) or entertainment applications (quiz, instant-win, games). mSuites can interface with a company's information systems (CRM, SFA ) in order to ensure that the mobile solution in deployed in a fully-integrated fashion.
Renaud Ménérat, Netsize's B2C Marketing Director commented "We see a lot of market interest for mobile TV & Video On Demand services over mobile phones. We are pleased to be part of the first edition of the Mobile Film Festival and its success vindicates the immediate consumer demand for mobile video services both for accessing their favourite brands and pure entertainment services."
Renaud Ménérat, adds. "Netsize's capability to cope with rich content delivery, billing and rendering for over 1500 different handset types and over 60 content formats are the key success factors for making services such as The Mobile Film Festival available to the mainstream consumer market.
Linked to the mSuites platform is mPayment solutions from Netsize allowing to bill 1,1 billion mobile consumers in 32 countries through Premium SMS, MMS and browsing solutions.
