Verizon will be adding three more channels, HGTV HD, Food Network HD and LMN HD (Lifetime Movie Network), to the FiOS IPTV national channel lineup. The three channels will be available in all FiOS TV markets by the end of this week, bringing the total number of HD channels to at least 27 in most markets, depending on the number of local channels that broadcast in HD. FiOS TV subscribers with an HD-capable TV and an HD set-top box will receive the three new channels at no additional cost.

Additionally, Verizon has expanded FiOS TV coverage in Montgomery County, MD, Newport News and Chesterfield County, VA.

Nearly 32,000 additional Montgomery County consumers now can switch to Verizon FiOS TV service in portions of Ashton, Damascus, Germantown, Olney and Sandy Springs. Residents of these communities join consumers who can order FiOS TV in parts of Bethesda, Brookeville, Burtonsville, Chevy Chase, Colesville, Garrett Park, Glen Echo, Kensington, the Montrose area, North Potomac, Potomac, Randolph Hills, Silver Spring and Wheaton.



Consumers in parts of Newport News, VA now join Virginia Beach, Richmond and Northern Virginia customers who already are signing up for FiOS TV. In Newport News, Verizon FiOS TV now is available to more than 4,100 households in parts of Avery Terrace, Cherry Creek, Cliveden, Colony Pines, Denbigh Trace, Green Acres, Hanover Heights, Richneck Estates, Stoney Run, Victoria Station, The Villages at Woodside, Windsor Great Park and Woodcreek.

In Chesterfield County, VA Verizon FiOS TV now is available to more than 22,000 households in parts of the following areas: Bailey Bridge Road, Bayhill, Brandermill, Brian Woods, Clover Hill, Deer Run, Fox Creek, Hampton Park, Hunters Landing, Lake Genito, Salisbury, Woodlake and along the Robious Road corridor west of the Huguenot Road-Robious Road intersection.

Overall, nearly 64,000 households in Chesterfield and Henrico counties and the city of Richmond now can choose FiOS TV, and Verizon continues to build its all-fiber network to bring FiOS TV and Internet services to more area customers.
