VOLNÝ began commercial operation of new its service: VOLNÝ TV. It is digital TV via telephone line. In addition to the offer of almost 40 TV stations, VOLNÝ TV also includes first-run movie channels, Electronic Programme Guide, on-line film rental (Video-On-Demand), HBO Digital and other services, for example photo album or games. One of the main benefits is the possibility to become a programme director and create your very own TV channel – the service "My TV". Price of the basic service including rent of modem and set top box that enables pausing or restarting of actual programmes, starts at 297,- CZK per month (including VAT). The VOLNÝ TV service is currently available in VOLNÝ’s own network in selected locations in Prague and Brno. VOLNÝ offers VOLNÝ TV in a package together with unlimited highspeed internet of 2 Mbit/s and convenient calling, starting from 996,- CZK including phone line rental.

The VOLNÝ TV service is the next step in TV entertainment. It is based on IPTV technology that enables TV broadcasting via phone lines. Thanks to this technology, customers can use telephone services, internet connection and TV services together.

With VOLNÝ TV we introduce a new style of TV entertainment today. Times when TV has meant only a passive reception of programmes, is gone. VOLNÝ TV is an interactive service that gives viewers new possibilities. Now, you can decide how you want to entertain yourself. You can create your own programme out of all channels, or simply select a movie and watch it when you want. And this is only the start of the new VOLNÝ TV service. We are preparing a lot of additional features, that make the TV more interactive, but more important, more entertaining," says Clemens Wohlmuth, CEO of VOLNÝ.

VOLNÝ TV service will offer almost 40 TV stations in Czech and also foreign languages; a possibility to order other selected TV stations ("A la carte" offer); or, for HBO subscribers, added bonuses such as the unique service HBO Digitals that offers first-run movie content from the HBO station. VOLNÝ TV also offers the unique service "My TV" that enables viewers to organize and own their own TV channel, where the user can put together programmes from all channels that they want to watch. Another part of VOLNÝ TV is the Electronic Programme Guide, that offers wide information about all TV stations 14 days before airtime, detailed information and pictures about a chosen movie, as well as evaluation of the film.

VOLNÝ also offers a Video On Demand Service. It is an on-line film rental with Czech and foreign films. VOLNÝ TV also offers other services – for example the VOLNÝ Album that enables on-line view and sharing of photos published on internet, games, on-line ordering of services or listening to selected Czech radio stations.

In the price of the service (basic service of VOLNÝ TV Costs 297,- with VAT) is also included monthly rent of MOTOROLA set top box, that enables viewers to restart a programme that is actually running, or pausing of live broadcasting. Other equipment also included in the price is an ASUS AM200G router, already offered as standard by VOLNÝ with internet connection services. This modem supports state-of-the-art technology ADSL2+, includes four ethernet ports, USB interface, integrated gateway with two telephones ports and also has the function of wi-fi transmitter for home wi-fi internet connection.

VOLNÝ TV service is available in Prague in Vršovice, Strašnice, Spořilov, Zahradní město and in parts of Vinohrady and Žižkov; it is also available in major parts of Brno. Customers who want to have VOLNÝ TV need to order or already have a VOLNÝ Internet service on VOLNÝ’s own network.
