ABC Shows Now Online at CTV.ca
Viewers who missed the return of Lost and Grey's Anatomy to the CTV schedule last night can log on to their computers to watch the episodes right now at CTV.ca. CTV announced that the two series - along with fellow Top 10 hit Desperate Housewives - are joining the industry-leading, on demand line-up of programs on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca, through an agreement with Disney-ABC International Television. It is the first time the three ABC Studios-produced series are being streamed on a free, ad-supported basis in Canada. Online streaming of Grey's Anatomy on CTV.ca is presented by Duracell and online streaming of Lost is presented by Volkswagen.
The deal includes full-episode streaming of the remaining new episodes from this season of all three series. Additionally, the last two episodes of each series broadcast before their recent hiatus will also be available. Each new episode will be available online following its West Coast broadcast on CTV. Also available on demand are episode recaps, episode previews and, in the case of Lost, exclusive online content. The new content, including last night's episodes of Grey's Anatomy and Lost, are available now at

.
Through the deal, fans will now see:
Full-episode streaming for all new episodes of each series for the remainder of the season; with a 28-day viewing window per episode
Full-episode streaming of the last two episodes of each series that aired prior to the hiatus; with a 28-day viewing window per episode
Lost fans can view "Missing Pieces," an online exclusive series of 13 webisodes which fill in storyline gaps during the last three seasons; these are available for viewing for a limited time
Episode recaps for all episodes of each series this season available for viewing for a limited time
Episode previews for all episodes of each series this season available for viewing for a limited time
Availability of these free, ad-supported U.S. network dramas is geo-gated and available to Canadians coast to coast who have broadband access through a Canadian-based Internet service provider. To watch CTV programs online, visit

In 2006, CTV struck a deal with Warner Bros. International Television to become the first Canadian television network to present U.S. conventional network series online when The O.C. premiered on CTV.ca. Since then, a significant number of American network series have been made available on demand on the CTV Video Player, including Warner Bros. series Nip/Tuck, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Smith, Big Shots, Pushing Daisies and Gossip Girl.
A recent report using data from December, 2007 by comScore Video Metrix - a digital measurement company - showed that CTVglobemedia was the No. 3 video property in Canada - and the No. 1 network video property - following Google and Microsoft. The report also showed that online video has the highest reach in Canada among the five countries it measures, including the U.K., U.S., France and Germany. There were 19 million viewers watching video online in December, representing 89 per cent of the total online population age 15 and older. Canadians watched an average of 112 videos online per month.
Episodes of Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy join over 100 hours of top CTV programs already available online on the CTV Video Player at CTV.ca, including Nip/Tuck, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Corner Gas, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Robson Arms, Instant Star, eTalk, Whistler, The CTV National News, TMZ and W-FIVE. Gossip Girl will return online with new episodes next month.
The CTVglobemedia Video Player features nine video channels, including CTV, CTV News, TSN, The Comedy Network, MuchMusic, MTV, eTalk, Discovery Channel, SPACE, BNN and FashionTelevision. Approximately seven million streams per week are played on CTVglobemedia's video player.
Canadian consumers have made CTVglobemedia their online network destination of choice for news, sports and entertainment. With an average of 7.7 million unique visitors and 332 million page views each month, CTVglobemedia is serving Canadians with dynamic, interactive content, and reaching Canadians where they are with what they want. Featuring the best delivery infrastructure in the country, CTVglobemedia's multimedia platforms include video online, websites, user generated content sites, mobile content and video on demand.
