New Blog: IPTV Evangelist

Today, we learned about a new blog/video interview series by Gilbert B. Hammer, an "IPTV Evangelist". Mr. Hammer's mission for the website "is to serve as a guide to the people and the companies at the forefront of the online video, or IPTV (Internet Protocol Television), and Mobile Video space."

On the front page, you can see Mr. Hammer's personal insight on Yahoo's Current TV, Amazon's Unbox, and some other hot topics in online video realm. It doesn't appear that he's covered off on much relating to IPTV but we'll expect more in the future.

Hi and thank you for the posting about our site launch. Just as clarification, IPTV Evangelist plans to target content creators, specifically Indie production personnel, Producers, Directors and DP’s in addition to semi-professionals. While your site does an excellent job of covering the technology issues, standards, regulation and key players, IPTV Evangelist seeks to focus on a different end of IPTV equation, namely educating content creators about various aspects of production, distribution, marketing and revenue sharing.

Hey Gilbert, thanks for the low-down. I think you'll have a pretty good response to those topics as we do receive a lot of questions around creating and streaming peronsal video content.
