Westell Technologies, Inc. announces advanced ADSL2+ technology on its UltraLine video router. The addition of an improved ADSL2+ platform supports the expanding video initiatives of service providers by increasing the data transmission rate up to 25 Mbps and improving the video picture quality.

Westell's UltraLine integrates an improved ADSL2+ modem with a multi-port router so that the high-speed broadband connection can be shared throughout the networked digital home through a single, easily installed device. The advanced ADSL2+ platform provides transparent error correction, which reduces the chance of pixelization and results in a crisper, higher-quality video stream. The UltraLine also supports specialized features for set top boxes, including Quality of Service (QoS) that automatically manages prioritization of video, voice and data packets. Westell will demonstrate enhanced UltraLine products in the IPTV Interoperability Showcase at the TelcoTV Conference and Expo, November 9th and 10th at the San Diego Convention Center.
