CNN/U.S. President Jonathan Klein will be a featured keynote speaker during the "IPTV: The Technology and Market Outlook" Super Session on April 19 in Las Vegas.

In his keynote speech, Klein will discuss the impact and future of convergent media platforms. As consumers experience news throughout the day on handheld devices, in airports, online, on the radio, and on television, Klein will highlight the opportunities and potential pitfalls of this multi-platform approach for content creators, marketers, and consumers. The television industry veteran will share his insight on the implications of how these developments will shape the 21st century news experience.



Following the keynote presentation, an executive panel of experts will discuss how IPTV will enable network operators to launch next generation video services over existing infrastructure to attract new subscribers and increase revenue from existing ones.

With over 20 years of experience working in the television industry, Klein became president of CNN/U.S. in December 2004, and is responsible for management oversight of all programming, editorial tone and strategic direction of the network. He previously served as president and chief executive officer of the The Feed Room, a broadband video company he founded in 1999. Under his direction, The Feed Room became one of the leading online broadcasters. From 1996 to 1998, Klein was executive vice president at CBS News, where he oversaw prime-time programming, off-network production, guest booking, investigative reporting and strategic planning. Klein began his television career in 1980 as a news producer in Providence, R.I. and counts among his professional honors two Peabody Awards and three Emmy Awards.
