ROO Debuts New Internet Video Content Management System
ROO
, one of the world's largest online broadcasters and provider of turnkey broadband TV solutions for content creators, publishers and advertisers, debuted its next-generation video content management system, G6 Enterprise. This new Internet video content management system is now providing clients with total control over the management and presentation of both their own online videos and as well as clips from ROO's extensive video library. The current G6 Media Publishing Platform is used by more than 100 ROO-powered client sites.
The first affiliates to take advantage of ROO's enhanced video management solution are News Interactive and Poker TV Network. On its flagship news destination
News.com.au
, News Interactive is combining its own Sky News content with a selection of clips from ROO's library of more than 7,000 videos, providing its viewers with Australian news content coupled with the latest world news videos from Reuters. News Interactive's offering also incorporates lifestyle content (music, movies, fashion and gaming) from a number of other content providers with whom ROO has content licensing agreements.
Poker TV Network
, a targeted gaming and lifestyle destination site that caters to the increasingly popular poker market, is also using G6 Enterprise to broadcast a diverse offering of poker gaming and lifestyle videos, including on-demand programs and a 24-hour Internet TV channel.
By leveraging ROO's turnkey self-service video management solution any ROO affiliate can effortlessly add, delete, program and manage its own broadband TV channels using an easy-to-use web interface. ROO empowers video content creators and web publishers of all kinds to create customized channels within their video offerings, integrating their own proprietary videos with any content from ROO's library of more than 7,000 titles. ROO's syndicated library comprises 15 channels and over 50 sub-channels including breaking news, the latest music videos, movie trailers and health related informational videos.
"To compete in the broadband marketplace, online properties must embrace an Internet TV strategy. ROO allows them to do this quickly, easily and profitably," said ROO CEO Robert Petty. "With the latest release of our video management platform, ROO is now providing our affiliates with the ability to combine their own content with our content, creating a more robust and diverse video offering while simultaneously increasing revenues generated from online video advertising, the fastest growing segment in the online advertising industry."
