Leading Vendors Set to Unveil New OTT Products & Services at TelcoTV 2010
TelcoTV 2010
announces a variety of exhibitors are introducing products and solutions that allow telecom service providers to make over-the-top video more profitable. TelcoTV, which will take place November 9 to 11, 2010 in Las Vegas, offers a unique venue for solution providers to showcase their new product or service offerings. This year's theme, "Profiting in a Multi-Screen World," reflects the industry's challenge of making video services work for both consumers and service providers.
As the competitive environment continues to shift and consumers become more tech savvy, TelcoTV exhibitors are addressing the changes in consumer behavior with new products and solutions to help operators offer and monetize OTT applications and services. TelcoTV exhibitors are prepared to discuss how operators can use these solutions to remain competitive, reduce churn, and increase the average revenue per user.
The list of exhibitors making announcements and debuting OTT solutions at TelcoTV 2010 will continue to grow as the event nears and currently includes the following:
Amino Communications
will showcase its Intel-powered Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT media center running a range of "hands-on" demonstrations that capture the device's ability to deliver broadcast TV, video on demand, home media, and OTT content, plus new user interfaces, gaming, and applications. The Amino Freedom, already winner of a prestigious industry award this year, features the Intel Atom processor CE4100 and is powered by the first generation of Intel and Nokia's MeeGo for the TV. Visit booth #431.
ATX Networks
has expanded its UCrypt product offering designed to support the delivery of content into hospitality and bulk MDU accounts, so that virtually any deployment architecture and distribution application can be addressed. The UCrypt QAM-to-QAM product was designed to transition content from the HFC plant and retransmit into an MDU/hotel in Pro:Idiom/clear QAM format. ATX has now included both IP and Analog output capabilities where supplying every dwelling with a set-top box is not practical. Visit booth #226.
Endavo Media
and
Conklin-Intracom
will showcase the seamless integration of Endavo's OTT Video Services Platform with Conklin-Intracom's fs|cdn IPTV middleware solution into a hybrid OTT/IPTV service, offering telcos a service differentiating subscriber experience. By augmenting the fs|cdn ecosystem with Endavo's Media Management System, service providers can deliver a unique blend of locally uploaded or global content with the traditional broadcast-TV experience, or go OTT to other devices. Visit Endavo at booth #659, and Conklin-Intracom at booths #321 and 418.
Entone
will unveil a Hybrid TV service that will open new markets for service operators. The new service model combines live TV and "over the top" content with a consumer's broadband Internet service. Think of an over-the-top box but with live TV, whole-home DVR, personal media sharing, and much more. Also on display will be Entone's Janus Media Hub, which provides distribution of live TV and other rich media throughout the connected home. Visit booth #443.
Eyecon Technologies
will demonstrate "EyeconTroller"; the bridge between a consumer's media and their connected entertainment devices. EyeconTroller turns an iPhone, iPad, or Android into a personal media manager. EyeconTroller allows users to discover and have access to all of their content (home, Internet, and service provider). Once they find the content they would like to watch or listen to, users can simply direct it to a connected playback device – anytime, anywhere. Visit booth #257.
Inlet Technologies
and
Edgeware AB
will demonstrate a joint solution enabling operators to reach a larger part of their subscriber base across multiple devices. Featuring Adaptive Bit Rate TV or ABR-TV, a new concept in managed OTT services, the solution combines live multi-screen video delivery with a new advertising model, blending broadcast advertising with customized, CPM-driven internet advertising. ABR-TV combines Edgeware's Web TV server and Inlet's Spinnaker live ABR Streaming appliances. Visit Inlet at booth #233 and Edgeware at booth #250.
Mariner
will demonstrate frostt, an intelligent fusion of Web 2.0 capabilities and IPTV technology that delivers a highly engaging interactive TV experience for consumers, enabling all the revenue-generating power of the net for IPTV operators. Frostt maximizes service profitability with impactful self service functionality, targeted ad insertions, and the capability to capitalize on OTT content, all delivered in a completely open standards-based architecture. Visit booth #140.
Minerva Networks
will demonstrate a software platform that enables operators to consolidate legacy pay-television services and new linear and on-demand Internet video into a single view, with a single interface and with a unified search and discovery environment. With the new Minerva solution, broadband service providers will be able to offer virtually every subscriber a range of robust, next-generation television services that combine both broadcast and on-demand content. Visit booth #357.
Nagra-Kudelski
(Nagravision and OpenTV) will highlight its integrated solution to securely extend premium TV content delivery beyond set-top boxes to multiple OTT-enabled devices. Nagra Media OTT enables a rich set of interactive applications ranging from video on demand (pull or streamed), catchup TV, interactive subscription to in-the-home content sharing, proximity control, Web content access, network-based global search, personalized recommendation, multi-store "one click – one bill" service, widgets, addressable advertising, and more. Visit booth #225.
Tangotec
will introduce and demonstrate its next-generation 3Wire networking system. With its symmetric data rate of 500 Mbit/s over all the existing wire infrastructures (coax, telephone, and electrical), operators are now capable of distributing reliable "Triple Play" services to every room in the home at a fraction of the cost and time of traditional networking methods. Service providers can now reduce installation time by as much as 50 percent or more. Visit booth #752.
VNA Group
will showcase and demonstrate the iGUGU InterneTV, the first product available to deliver a single, affordable, easy-to-use solution for searching, storing, indexing, and playing any digital video content on the television or home entertainment system. InterneTV shifts the paradigm for enjoying Internet- and computer-based content by enabling consumers to search and view digital content in high definition on the big-screen television using the simple-to-use InterneTV connectivity and remote control. Visit booth #354.
Nearly 120 exhibitors will participate in the main hall of the expo, which is open on the second and third days of the event. The agenda has been designed to provide ample time for attendees to visit both the conference sessions and the show floor.
