"J Golf" and a slew of other sports related programs from one of Korea's top cable channels, JoongAng Broadcasting, will make their North American premier through GlobeVISION's PIE Service, the first on-demand Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service for Asian-Americans and Asian-Canadians. GlobeVISION's deal with JoongAng Broadcasting represents the latest in a long string of top Korean producers and distributors to make their content available through this service.

"This deal to premiere 'J Golf' and other sports related programming in North America demonstrates how GlobeVISION's PIE Service is the perfect platform for all production and content companies across Asia to directly reach Korean-Americans and Korean-Canadians," stated Edward Bach, CEO and President of GlobeVISION. "We are excited to bring such a big hit from Korea directly to the television sets of North America," he added.

"J Golf" is a popular golf series from Korea that rides the wave of popularity the sport is enjoying across Asia, especially in the wake of high-profile Asian golf stars including Seri Pak and Michelle Wie.

GlobeVISION's PIE service is available in limited markets now and will launch nationwide later this year with thousands of Korean titles ranging from movies to television series to news and sports.

Korea's two largest private broadcasters (MBC and SBS), largest cable media group (CJ Media), and largest Christian programming broadcaster (CGN TV) have recently signed deals positioning GlobeVISION and the powerhouse distribution channel for Korean content in North America. The service will quickly expand to include programming from all over Asia including China and India.
