Aplana Software has successfully developed a new interactive web-site for Russian TV Channel 'Sport' to broadcast sport events for internet users. The site was developed with the use of Microsoft Silverlight – a recently developed technology for delivering next generation media experiences and rich interactive applications for the Web.

Sport is an all-Russia TV channel owned by VGTRK Media Corporation – the Russian TV and radio broadcasting company – with an audience of over 62 million people viewing sports events and competitions.

Aplana Software developed the new website for 'Sport' using Microsoft Silverlight technologies to provide user-friendly access to the list of programmes with high quality video and audio transmissions. New site features enable users to watch video recordings on the video archive page, as well as in two full screen display modes: full screen display of the list of transmissions; and full screen display of video.

Aplana specialists greatly enhanced the user interface to make watching sports events more engaging and comfortable, resulting in an easier-to-use service.
