This year, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) introduced Eurovision Song Contest-TV (ESC-TV) to deliver live streaming over the Internet from the European Song Contest.

ESC-TV was available from the Eurovision Song Contest homepage: www.eurovision.tv. More than 74,000 people from almost 140 countries had the pleasure of watching ESC-TV. The streaming technology behind ESC-TV was delivered by Octoshape. ESC-TV was transmitted in high 700 kbps quality and, in addition, 200 and 450 kbps were delivered. By using Octoshape grid technology, the delivery of this year's ESC event succeeded without any problems (for example, there were no load problems).
