SHOWTIME Sports Continues with Episodic to Power the Live Online Video Initiative STRIKEFORCE: All Access

announces that SHOWTIME Sports has once again selected Episodic to power the live online video initiative STRIKEFORCE: All Access, an immersive web experience where Mixed Martial Arts fans are able to control all the action from their very own front row seat. The unique live webcast will take place Saturday, December 19th, from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California.
The immersive digital experience will stream simultaneously with the live SHOWTIME telecast beginning at 10 p.m. ET and be available to fans around the world including those in Brazil, Japan, throughout Europe as well as in the U.S. and Canada.
To power this online experience, SHOWTIME Sports turned to Episodic, the most comprehensive online video platform for delivering both live and on-demand content to the web or any web-connected device. With Episodic, SHOWTIME Sports is able to measure, broadcast and monetize live events via credit card transactions or advertising. SHOWTIME Sports has been working with Episodic since the debut of STRIKEFORCE: All Access on April 11, 2009.
This STRIKEFORCE online experience will utilize the Episodic Live Player, which delivers an adaptive bitrate playback experience, ensuring that all viewers, regardless of connection speed or computing hardware, receive an instant-on high-quality viewing experience. In addition, Episodic video analytics allow SHOWTIME Sports to understand exactly what viewers are doing inside the stream, where they rewind, where exactly they drop off, how many are watching in full screen and much more.
